Coeliac Awareness Week 2018
Catering for Special Diets at Hadley Park House Hotel
At Hadley Park House Hotel we pride ourselves in providing innovative cuisine made by our creative and talented chefs. But, we hate people to miss out and where possible offer alternative choices for guests who have to follow special diets. As long as we have advance notice, we can offer alternatives for guests who, for example, have a dairy free diet, gluten intolerance or who have been diagnosed with coeliac disease. So if you and friends are looking for an award-winning Telford restaurant that can accommodate for special diets, there is no better place to dine.
All of our dishes are freshly prepared in our kitchen. Unfortunately, whilst we can provide specially prepared dishes, they are still prepared in the kitchen where allergens are present. To help choose from our menus and provide confidence in what you are eating, we can advise of allergen information for all of our dishes and whether they include Cereal (Gluten), Nuts, Milk, Soya, Mustard, Eggs, Lupin, Fish, Crustaceans, Molluscs, Sesame Seeds, Celery or Sulphur Dioxide.
Coeliac Awareness Week 2018
As it’s Coeliac Awareness Week (14-20 May 2018) we thought we’d share a little more on this complex disease to help raise awareness
- Coeliac disease is a lifelong autoimmune disease caused by a reaction to gluten
- 1 in 100 people have the condition
- Symptoms include bloating, diarrhoea, nausea, wind, constipation, tiredness, sudden or unexpected weight loss (but not in all cases), hair loss and anaemia
- Once diagnosed, it is treated by following a gluten free diet for life
- Dermatitis herpetiformis is the skin manifestation of coeliac disease.
Going Gluten Free at Hadley Park
We have a special gluten free afternoon tea that features all of your sweet and savoury favourites – just without gluten. We also have special Christmas menus that include a Festive Gluten Free menu and Festive Dairy Free menu too.
We do hope to see you soon at our restaurant in Telford – just let us know of special dietary requirements in advance!
