World Whisky Day 2018

Saturday 19th May is World Whisky Day!

There’s no better place to celebrate World Whisky Day than here at Hadley Park House Hotel. After all, our family Scottish heritage means that we know a thing or two about (and have tasted a dram or two of) fine whiskys in our time!

Our bar area is located on the ground floor next to Dorrells, the conservatory restaurant on the ground floor. It is a popular bar with residents and is also open to non-residents. The comfy seating makes a perfect place to relax and enjoy a single malt or two.

Pictured are just a small selection of our whiskies:

Glenkinchie 12 year single malt: distilled in some of the largest stills in East Lothian, Scotland. Perfect as an aperitif as it is light and fragrant. 2015 Silver Medal Winner at the International Wine & Spirits Competition.

Lagavulin: A single malt which is described as the connoisseur’s choice when it comes to Islay whisky. This 16 Year Old whisky is hailed as one of the finest whiskies available.

Oban 14 Year Whisky: This classic Scottish malt is distilled close to the sea. Known for its rich, dry and smoky notes with hints of citrus and fruits.

Cragganmore: A 12 year old single malt has hints of wood smoke and sandalwood. Delicious with rich meat tastes like steaks and sausages. A 2015 Silver Medal Winner at the International Wine & Spirits Competition.

Talisker Single Malt: The Isle of Skye’s only single malt, and loved all over the world. Serve neat or on the rocks and a gold medal winner at the International Spirits Challenge 2014.

Dalwhinnie 15 year whisky: This smooth and soft whisky is delightful with a dessert! The Dalwhinnie distillery is situated between the grassy Lowlands and Speyside.

Abundant alternatives to whisky

If whisky isn’t your thing, then we have a huge selection of hot and cold drinks. Whether it’s a warming hot chocolate, cappuccino or pick-me-up espresso. The well-stocked bar serves everything from carefully selected fine wines, draught beers, champagnes, perfectly mixed cocktails and an extensive array of spirits. Our bar also offers an array of local drinks such as Wenlock Spring Water and Woods’ and Salopian Real Ales.

Let’s hope that the weather is kind so that you can enjoy drinks at Hadley Park House Hotel on our terrace in the sunshine.
